It is often thought that bees are protected and it is illegal to remove them. Fact is they aren’t and, in some circumstances, they do in fact need to be controlled. As an environmental and ethically friendly company we would always recommend not to eradicate any bees if they aren’t causing a problem. However, we understand this isn’t always possible and, in some cases, bees need to be moved or eradicated if necessary. There are many different types of bee in the UK, there is said to be over 250 different species, here are some of the most common; Honey Bee, Bumble Bee (tree, white tailed and red tailed), Mason Bees, Mining Bees (tawny and ashy) and the Common Carder Bee.
What damage can Bees do?
A bee swarm can be very dangerous, and are likely to attack if the hive is made to feel under threat. Bees could be a potential danger to certain individuals in or around your home but they can also cause damage to your property as the hive can contribute to moisture related problems like mould and dry rot.
How we effectively remove Bees
We control bees and their nests in a professional, experienced and legal manner. Bee control should always be undertaken by a professional pest controller. We provide an effective and affordable treatment programme. We have specialist equipment to help in the removal and relocation of bees providing the nest has been built in an area where we can get access to it. We would only treat bees if there was a clear need to do so, but we would generally offer you expert help and advice.
